Where Can I Serve?

Jesus told us, his disciples, to make disciples of all nations. One of the most important values of this church is our outreach ministry. It begins in our own community and spreads across the nation. Our church members are involved in a variety of ministries:

Mission Department

The purpose of the Mission Department is to reach those who are outside the walls of our Church with the message and the love of Jesus Christ. We do this by ministering to all we meet. The mission is composed of strong women who are also committed to mentoring the girls of the church. We meet on the second and fourth Mondays of every month at 6 PM to study and engage in lessons taught by each other.

Brotherhood Department

The purpose of the Brotherhood Department is to strengthen the church by mobilizing Christian men to become spiritually mature leaders and doers in their church, families, communities and work places. Our focus is on educating and training men and boys to be Godly men and spiritual fathers who are committed to God. The Brotherhood meets on the second and fourth Mondays of every month at 6 PM to study and engage in lessons taught by each other.

Ushers

The junior and senior usher auxiliaries at our church fill an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, ensuring the safety of the building during services, helping visitors, answering questions, providing direction, and generally ensuring that the service can proceed problem-free. The usher auxiliary is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.

Nurses Guild

The mission of our nurses guild is to provide comfort and support to members and visitors during regular worship services, funerals, and special events. We have a responsibility to be dressed in required uniform attire and ready to assist members and guests with comfort and first aid care in case of emergencies, until the arrival of medical professionals. We also serve on the pulpit during service for comfort and assistance to the Pastor and other ministers on duty.

Music Ministry

Music has always played an important role in the worship of God’s people. The purpose of the Music Ministry is to share the gospel of Jesus Christ through song, lead the congregation in worship, and provide an avenue through which individuals may share their gift and be an integral part of the worship service. We have four choirs: youth choir, senior choir, male chorus, and praise team.

Youth Support Services

The Youth Support Services walk alongside students at various stages of life, assisting them to become all that God intends them to be. YPS serves at-risk children and youth at various grade levels, providing educational assistance through academic tutoring, one-on-one mentoring, rewards for achievement, college preparation for high school students and college scholarships for college students.
